Behind the Site

  • This website is inspired by the clean aesthetics of Andrew Heiss’s website.
  • This website is build with Quarto and hosted by GitHub Pages.
  • I use Google Analytics to keep an eye on how visitors interact with the site and to improve the experience over time.
  • The live weather widget in the footer is designed with the workflow:
    • Get the user’s approximate location of the IP address geo-location by this API, the location may be inaccurate while it doesn’t need to request the user for permission to access the precise location.
    • Get the current weather information for the location by Open-Meteo API.
    • Display the weather information, the pretty, animated weather icons are from Meteocons licensed under MIT.

  • I have a deep appreciation for classical music. While Johann Sebastian Bach remains my “all-time” favorite, Gustav Mahler has profoundly influenced my perspective in recent years.
